Airport ground-ops app

The problem

Ramp dispatchers worked from paper and memory. Signal on the apron comes and goes, so any app that needed the network would fail exactly when a flight was turning around.

What we built

1. An Android app that stores everything on the device and never waits for a connection.
2. Flight schedules pasted in from a message, plus a fleet list that fills in aircraft details automatically.
3. Movement, load and passenger messages composed in the standard aviation formats, with times in Zulu.
4. PDF reports generated on the phone, in Arabic or English.

Where it is now

The dispatcher runs a full turnaround from the phone with no signal at all, and hands over a finished PDF at the end of the shift.
